There is an opinion piece on velonews that discusses some of the difficulties that cyclists face with respect to how the legal system deals with cyclists. A couple of interesting case studies are listed.
Of particular interest is the question as to when a police officer should even bother with an accident involving a cyclist. If you are a cyclists the answer is always. For some officers that is not the case.
